This outside bird washer can be used behind plucking. You can use this outside bird washer to clean the chickens quickly and thoroughly before they go to the vent cutter. To avoid contamination, it is important that you clean the product immediately after picking. Otherwise, the pores will close and it will no longer be possible to achieve the same cleaning results.

Efficient cleaning
Immediately after the last picker the skin pores and follicles remain open for approx. 10-20 sec. After leaving the last plucker the pores start to close, depending on process circumstances such as heat load, process times and temperatures. Within this time window of 10-20 sec., dirt on the product can be removed from the pores and follicles as well, upon the moment they close. This makes cleaning immediately after pluckers very efficient with high bacteria load reduction. Experiences from already installed washers show that the bacteria load of your product in the next process step (here the evisceration) can be reduced by 1 log. Specific bacteria such as entero’s can be reduced even more.

After rehanging to the evisceration, the evisceration shackles remain much cleaner and you will hardly find any loose feathers in the evisceration because Undine also removes loose feathers from shackle and product. This way the presence of feathers in EV dept. is prevented. Cleaning after picking also removes more proteins from the skin. This reduces the brown discoloration in some Electro stimulation setups.

The dimensions of this product are 1500 x 660 x 1500 (l x w x h). This product is perfect for cleaning chickens. For cleaning ducks, hens or roosters there is an XL version available.
